For this article the first section in bold, gives an insight into the readers life, which gives a personal connection with the audience, because when reading on they may feel that they know a bit more than the originally did when viewing this extract. It is like a small introduction into the autobiography of the writer. 

• The starting of the personal account with the word "his", shows that the person she is describing is not worthy of exploiting the name in the magazine. 
• When using the personal pronoun "I" we gain a connection with the writer, as it seems like a conversational piece and we are hearing her real life occurrences about her marriage life. 
• "Doubt on the big day" and "falling in love for real" as quotations are used as powerful messages that sum up her events. 
• Emotive language is used to gain sympathy from the audience.
