Magazines title (right) and My interpretation (left)

This is an example of my final of my interpretation of the title used on the front cover of the magazine. When editing this, I found that the font "Futura" was the closest that got to the graphology of the wording.

Stereotypical Characters

Male Image

Female Image

When looking at the stereotypical image of a rioter/looter, I noticed that the media hyped up an image of youths, dressed in garments which symbolised gang culture. This is by basic outerwear perceived to be worn to represent a situation, in this case the "hoodie" is symbolic of the delinquent behaviour.

Image of a Woman

  1. Dark eye make up
  2. Packed on foundation
  3. Bold over sized jewellery
  4. Hooded jumper
  5. Simple hair styling
  6. Trainers
Image of a Man

  1. Tracksuit or Hoodie
  2. Cap
  3. Trainers
  4. Big Rucksack
  5. Preferably chunky jewellery

Article Plan

During the time of reading, deconstructing and analysing several articles of Bella I feel confident enough to incorporate my ideas with the typical codes and conventions of the magazine into a replica article. When doing this it will be based upon my Critical Investigation in which I have explored the London riots. As the teenagers were the stereotypical blame for the huge impact of the riots, I shall be using a real life rioter and be reporting on her views on why they contributed.

The article will be centred around a main character and tell the audience the impact on getting into trouble, and what they were trying to represent during the London riots of 2011.

During the reading of the article it will have images centring around the events (which will have to be restaged). It will also, provide some, "made up" images of the past life of the rioter to give some background knowledge into their experiences.
